Nestled between the hills of olive trees and dominated by the Pollino mountain range, overlooking blue coasts on Ionic stands the town of Firmo.

Perched at about 370 m above the sea level, on the north side near the Calabrian Pollino National Park .It’s excellent for olive-growing area (3000 hectares of olive surface) where they produce the best olive oils in Italy.

The oil, precious fruit of olives grown on most of the agricultural area of the town, is the most well known of our land. There are two main varieties of olives grown: the first and most common is "Tondina." Small size, is collected from November and, if processed in the traditional way and the right time, can reach an average of 450 polyphenols and 5:00 peroxides, with a subtle acidity and average yield around 14 liters / ton.

To this is added the "Carolea" that is harvested from mid-October. Mostly , is also used as a table olive and with right processing can achieve an average of 270 polyphenols and 6:00 peroxides with subtle acidity and average yield around 19 liters / ton.
